Gotta love Apple. I booted into the beta version of OS X that was installed on a friend’s iBook (that usually runs OS 9). The beta has expired and won’t let you do anything except reboot, so I can’t change the boot OS back to 9. The moral is, if you ever write betas that expire, at least let people recover gracefully.

When I get around to helping Mum upgrade my old (beige) G3 I must check this upgrade site again. Unfortunately it’s only processor upgrades, but it’s a start.
