Movie to watch: A Knight’s Tale. I loved it. The script was great, it was really funny, it looked good, Heath Ledger was great, Paul Bettany was a really funny Chaucer, and Laura Fraser was quietly good. Shannyn Sossamon‘s performance was off, but it could have been a directorial choice. Or maybe she really can’t act. She’s kinda funny looking anyway.
Movie to avoid: Swordfish. Set piece after set piece linked by a who-cares plot, and to finish it all off, a flying bus. The dvd interviews show them getting really excited about this ending, but the fact that this is the best they could come up with should give you some idea of the rest of the film.
New on dvd: Evil Dead. I hadn’t seen it before, and now I have. It’s about that interesting.
