I just took a look at the SAB. I found that it’s written by someone who has perhaps READ parts of the bible, but never really STUDIED it and used his faith in guiding him through the text. As we all know the bible is not like any other book, and much of it cannot be taken literally, e.g. the cultural and historical context must be taken into account.
I am ashamed to say that whilst I am a Christian, I cannot claim that I know the bible well. Therefore, I am not criticizing or trying to refute what this guy is saying, but merely making an observation, and a note to myself that I should spend more time reading my bible!
